After he graduated from college, Zac Stacy would go on and enter the NFL draft. In 2013, the St. Louis Rams would draft him in the fifth round at the 160th pick.

In his first season, Zac Stacy would have a huge impact. Almost halfway through the 2013 NFL Season, the Rams would match up against the Seattle Seahawks. He had one of the best games during his rookie season, with over 100 rushing yards.

The week after, he racked up 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns. However, they still ended up losing to the Titans.

He would stay with the Rams for two years before requesting a trade to the New York Jets in 2015.

Stacy’s NFL Career Comes To an End

Unfortunately, Stacy would not have much success with the Jets. On November 12th, 2015, he broke his ankle while playing against the Buffalo Bills and could not play for the rest of the season. This injury led him to be placed on injured reserve.

The Jets released Stacy a little over a year after failing to pass his physical.

Stacy would go on to retire from professional football in February of 2017 due to lingering injuries and to tend to his brother, who was struggling with down syndrome.

Playing For The Saskatchewan Roughriders

Although he showed potential in his preseason games, Stacy was beaten out by former teammate Tre Mason for the starting role.

Memphis Express

After leaving the Roughriders, Stacy signed with the Memphis Express in 2019. This was a new team that resided under the Alliance of American Football. Stacy would find more success with Memphis Express, but it was short-lived.

The AAF would suspend the season in April 2019, preventing Stacy from playing his full season with the Express. While only playing 8 games with the Express, Stacy ran over 300 yards and had 3 touchdowns during the season.

After this season, Stacy would retire from football.

In her restraining order application at the police department, she said Stacy went as far as to throw her through her television while the baby was on the couch.

During his arrest, he tried to tell the police officers that Kristin had “staged” the assault as she was upset about their relationship ending.

However, he was still charged with Aggravated Battery and Criminal Mischief.

After the charges, Stacy went on the run and was eventually found by the U.S. Marshals in Nashville, Tennessee. He was then flown back to Orlando, Florida International Airport, where he was arrested.
